Method
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, honey, onion powder, crushed red pepper, ground cumin, grated Parmesan cheese, and salt. Stir the ingredients together until well combined.
- Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss them in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let the drumsticks marinate for at least 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.
- Once the drumsticks have marinated, remove them from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off.
- Spray the basket with cooking spray or grease with little oil. Preheat your air fryer. Further, place chicken drumsticks in the basket to air fry at 380°F for 16 to 18 minutes. Cook for 10 minutes, then turn them over and continue cooking for another 6 to 8 minutes depending on how crispy you like it. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to ensure it is fully cooked.
Bake or Grill
- BAKE on a wire rack in a sheet pan at 350 for 40 minutes (give or take 5 depending on size). The wire rack helps circulate the air and get it crispy
- For perfectly succulent chicken drumsticks, a grilling time between 25-30 minutes is ideal for almost any recipe.
