Spicy Tandoori Chicken Tikka - Air Fryer Tandoori Chicken

Spicy Tandoori Chicken Tikka - Air Fryer Tandoori Chicken without the tandoor? YES! These Air Fryer tikkas only need 20 minutes to cook and become tender.  This recipe is our latest family-friendly, easy-to-get-on-the-table dinner obsession. This recipe uses a Greek Yogurt marinade and a few Indian spices to infuse the chicken with both flavor and moisture.

Method

Prep
  1. Chop the chicken to 2-to-3-inch cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add in the Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp oil, ground coriander, ground cumin, ground turmeric, red chili powder, Kashmiri chili powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, salt, dried Fenugreek leaves, lemon juice, and ground black pepper. Mix well. Furthermore, add in the chicken and mix well.
  3. Cover the marinated chicken bowl with a lid. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes to an hour. Additionally, you can also marinate it overnight in the refrigerator.
Air Fry
  1. When you are ready to cook, grease your Air Fryer basket with the left over oil. Then, follow your air fryer directions for preheating to 350°F for 5 minutes. When it’s preheated, working in batches, place the chicken in a single layer or in a skewer.
  2. Air fry for 18 minutes, at 360°F. When 8 minutes are remaining, flip the chicken gently with tongs and drizzle or brush some oil. Also, every air fryer is different so check after the 15-minute mark. You can increase or decrease the time as per your liking. I like to up the temperature to 380 for an additional 2 minutes after the 18-minute mark to char it slightly.
