Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, skinless (1.5 pounds)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oil of choice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red crushed pepper

Method

Prep
  1. Make 3-4 shallow diagonal cuts across the chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  2. Make the marinade for the chicken. In a bowl, mix together the red crushed pepper, garlic powder, salt, cumin, lemon juice, soy sauce, oil, sugar, and white pepper until well combined. Then, coat the chicken breasts in the marinade and let them sit for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
Cook
  1. While the chicken is marinating, depending on your air fryer lightly grease your air fryer basket with oil or cooking spray, and preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees F. Once the chicken has marinated, place it in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure that both sides are evenly cooked. You'll know the chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
