How do I make Air Fryer Chicken in Soy Sauce?

To make this recipe, you’ll need 2 chicken breasts that are slit, 1 tsp red crushed pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ground cumin, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1.5 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp sugar, and 1 tsp white pepper. All of these ingredients can easily be found in your pantry or at your local grocery store.

First, make 3 to 4 shallow diagonal cuts across the chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through. Second, make the marinade for the chicken. In a bowl, mix together the red crushed pepper, garlic powder, salt, cumin, lemon juice, soy sauce, oil, sugar, and white pepper until well combined. Then, coat the chicken breasts in the marinade and let them sit for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.

While the chicken is marinating, preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees F. Once the chicken has marinated, place it in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure that both sides are evenly cooked. You’ll know the chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

In conclusion-

The result is a juicy and flavorful chicken that’s perfect for a quick and easy meal. The soy sauce adds a nice umami flavor, while the red crushed pepper gives it a bit of a kick. And since it’s cooked in the air fryer, it’s a healthier alternative to frying the chicken in oil.

But that’s not all! There are many ways to customize this recipe to suit your taste preferences. Here are a few ideas:

  • Add more spice: If you like your food spicy, you can increase the amount of red crushed pepper or add some cayenne pepper to the marinade.

  • Make it gluten-free: If you need to avoid gluten, make sure to use a gluten-free soy sauce in this recipe.

  • Change up the seasoning: If you don’t have some of the spices listed in the recipe, feel free to experiment with different seasoning blends. Paprika, oregano, and thyme are all great options.

Overall, air fryer chicken in soy sauce is a recipe that you’ll want to add to your rotation. It’s quick, easy, and delicious, and it’s versatile enough to suit a variety of tastes and dietary needs. So why not give it a try and see how you like it?
