Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 tbsp oil of choice
  • 1 cup peanuts (roasted and salted) (I used planters)
  • 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder     (cayenne pepper)
  • 1/4 tsp black salt  (kaala namak)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin      (jeera powder)
Optional but highly recommended
  • 1/4 cup onion (chopped finely)
  • 1/4 cup cilantro (choped finely)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 serrano pepper (chopped finely)

Method
 

  1. When you are ready to cook in a large, heavy-bottom skillet/pot, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add in the roasted salted peanuts.
  3. Add in the spices (Kashmiri chili powder, black salt, and ground cumin). Moreover, stir well.
  4. Further let it cook for about a minute to 2 minutes on medium heat. Additionally turn of the heat and serve.
Optional garnish but highly recommnded
  1. This recipe tastes good as is. However if you like you can add an extra zing to it by mixing in chopped onions, cilantro, serrano peppers, and lemon juice before serving.

Notes

I have used salted and roasted peanuts. If you choose to use raw peanuts dry roast them and add salt as per your taste when adding spices.
Roasted and salted peanuts already have enough salt so there is no need to add additional salt if you are using those.
