Using a paring knife or other small knife, slice the dates open in lengthwise slits on one side. Do not cut all the way through. Remove the seeds if you are using dates with seeds. I used pitted dates. Further set aside.
Chop pecans and add to a small bowl.
In a mixing bowl mix 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese and 1/2 cup goat cheese. Stir the cheeses well so that they are soft and spreadable.
Use a spoon to fill the dates with the cheeses. Furthermore, top the dates filled with cheese with chopped pecan. Drizzle with honey.
Place dates on a parchment-lined baking sheet and broil for 1 to 2 minutes. Keep watching because the pecans can burn quickly.
