Method
- Select sauté on the Instant Pot and adjust to normal. Next, add ghee.
- When the ghee is hot add in slivered almonds and let them sauté for a minute or two until fragrant.
- Add in roasted vermicelli and stir. Let it sauté for a minute.
- Add in whole milk, condensed milk, saffron strands, golden raisins, and ground cardamom. Stir well.
- Press cancel. Close the lid and select porridge mode for 6 minutes. When done let the pressure release naturally.
- Then open the lid, stir well and separate out the vermicelli. Add in rose extract. Garnish with additional nuts if you like. Transfer in a serving bowl. Enjoy warm, hot, or cold.
Notes
Vermicelli Kheer - Seviyaan Kheer tends to get thick if it just sits and cools. You may want to add additional milk as and when desired before serving.
