Prep
- Using a mortar and pestle coarsely crush the cinnamon stick.
Cook
- Place 4 cups water and in a small saucepan and bring the water to boil on high heat.
- Add in saffron strands, crushed cinnamon, ground cardamom and slivered almonds.
- Further let it boil for a minute. Next turn off the heat and cover with a lid for about a minute. Finally transfer in a cup and top off with additional almonds.
- This tea is supposed to be sweet however you can reduce the amount of sugar as per your taste. Moreover, you can also eliminate the sugar if you like.
