These Air Fryer Pineapple Kebabs – Pineapple Tikka marinated in a few spices and then air fried are a huge crowd pleaser.

This is one of my favorite recipes for warm-weather entertaining. These kebabs are simple to make, and delicious to eat.  Moreover, these tasty kebabs are ready in under 15 minutes. They are seasoned with oil, sugar, salt, red chili powder, chaat masala, lemon juice, and ground cumin. It’s a simple flavor combination that works well with pineapple.


Once seasoned, they are air fried for 10 minutes. The result: juicy and flavorful pineapple kebabs that everyone will love! It has a warm and tangy taste, making it the ultimate delicious comfort food for entertaining, barbecues, or family dinner.

What ingredients do I need to make Air Fryer Pineapple Kebabs?

Pineapple, sugar, red chili powder, salt, chaat masala, lemon juice, oil, and ground cumin.

How do I make this recipe?

First, peel, core and chop the pineapple into chunks. Second using a napkin pat them dry.

Make the marinade: Firstly, in a mixing bowl whisk together with half the oil, sugar, red chili powder, salt, chaat masala, lemon juice and ground cumin.

Further add the pineapple to the marinade. Furthermore coat the marinade to the pineapple and allow to marinate for 5 minutes.

Air Fry –  Moreover, thread the pineapple pieces onto skewers. Grease the air fryer tray with the remaining oil. Finally, air fry the pineapple for about 10 – 12 minutes at 380 degrees F on you  air fryer until golden and caramelized, flipping at the halfway point.

If you dont have skewers spoon the pineapple chunks in the air fryer basket one at a time to avoid breaking them, and prevent excess liquid from dripping down below your basket and smoking.

Then serve warm or cool and enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups pineapple (chopped to 3 inch chunks)
  • 1/2 tbsp oil of choice
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp  red chili powder      (cayenne pepper)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp chaat masala  
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin     

Instructions

Grill

  • Preheat the grill to high or 400 degrees. Place skewers onto preheated and greased grill. Monitor carefully as they cook. Flip every 2-3 minutes until warmed/cooked through.

Oven

  • Preheat oven to 450ºF. Place pineapple skewers on a baking sheet lined with foil and a little oil. Bake for Bake 16–18 minutes or until edges begin to brown.

Notes

I used metal skewers.If using wooden skewers soak in water for 15 minutes prior to kebab assembly.
