Spinach for this Spinach Strawberry Mango Smoothie – Vegan:

Spinach, due to its mild taste and the ability to blend up without leaving little chunks in your drink is a great choice for a green smoothie. I’ve used baby spinach.

Banana:

I love the mild sweetness of banana, but if you want it sweeter you could add sugar. However, bananas are truly magical in this smoothie because it masks the spinach favor. However, make sure to use well ripened bananas because they are sweeter than unripe bananas.

Strawberries:

Strawberries are high in antioxidants. I’ve used frozen strawberries. Because frozen strawberry is generally picked at peak ripeness. And is frozen quickly after harvesting, it is believed to have high nutrient levels. You can use fresh strawberries too.

Mango:

I have used frozen mango chunks. Ultra-Organics from Costco. You can choose your brand of choice. Additionally, use can also use fresh mango.

Almond milk:

My smoothie-go to. This is a plant-based smoothie (no dairy), but feel free to use any milk you like.

This smoothie contains a frozen fruit, so having a powerful blender is best.

Steps:

First, prep all of the smoothie ingredients: peel and cut the banana into slices. If using fresh mango, rinse, peel and chop it.

Second, place all of the ingredients in a high-powered blender.

Finally, blend everything up until smooth. If you’d like a thinner smoothie, add in a bit more milk.

Pour into 2 glasses and serve.

To store: Place smoothie in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
