This Vietnamese Air Fryer Chicken recipe is not only delicious but also incredibly easy to make. It’s the perfect dish for those busy weeknights when you want something flavorful and quick.

The marinade is a perfect blend of flavors that gives the chicken a mouthwatering taste. The mixture of fish sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper, lemon juice, and cilantro creates a perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors.
The best part about this recipe is that you can marinate the chicken ahead of time and just pop it in the air fryer when you’re ready to cook. It’s a great time-saver and makes it a perfect weeknight meal.
The air fryer method is also a great alternative to grilling or frying the chicken. It’s a healthier option, and the chicken comes out juicy and flavorful every time. The air fryer gives the chicken a nice crispy exterior while keeping it moist and tender on the inside.
My kids absolutely love Vietnamese food, so we used to go to restaurants all the time. But, I decided to bring that flavor into our home by creating easy and quick weekday meals. One of our favorites is this Vietnamese Air Fryer Chicken recipe.

When you’re ready to cook, grease your air fryer basket with some oil or cooking spray. Preheat your air fryer. Then, working in batches, place the chicken in a single layer or on skewers. Make sure to grease the tray/basket well.
Air fry the chicken for 18 minutes at 360°F. After 8 minutes, flip the chicken gently with tongs. Check after the 18-minute mark, and adjust the time as per your liking. I usually up the temperature to 380°F for an additional 2 minutes after the 18-minute mark to give it a nice char.

If you prefer to grill the chicken, cook for 5 minutes on each side until it’s cooked through.
