We love love Truffle Fries – they are my kids’ most requested food. And can you blame them?? However, frying potatoes is a challenging endeavor. That is when an air fryer comes to the rescue.
These fries only a few simply ingredients. Best of all…there’s no oil splatter! Additionally, truffle fries make you feel fancy.
What ingredients do I need for Air Fryer Truffle Fries – Healthy Truffle Fries?
Yukon gold potatoes, truffle oil, shredded parmesan cheese, paprika, and salt.
You can use Russet potatoes too, however I personally like yukon gold. They are smaller and easier to chop. I have used shredded parmesan cheese for convenience. You can use fresh cheese and grate it. I bought truffle oil from Amazon. You can find it at local grocery stores as well.
How do I make this recipe?
First, scrub potatoes well. Peel and cut each potato lengthwise into 3/8-inch-thick slices. Second, slice sections into sticks also about 3/8 inch-wide. Third, rinse the potatoes well and let them sit in a bowl covered with water for 30 minutes (this step is optional but it results in crispy fries). Further drain the water.
Furthermore, place drained fries into a large bowl. Add truffle oil, salt, and paprika; stir until evenly combined.
Next, transfer fries to the Air Fryer basket. Spread the cut potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket with a little space between each one. Don’t cram them in.
Then, air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, at 350 degrees F. After the first 8-10 minutes, toss the fries in the basket (be careful as it’s hot) so all pieces get nice and crispy. Finally after 15 to 20 minutes, open the fryer add in parmesan cheese and air fryer for an additional one minute. Transfer fries to a bowl and serve hot.
