What kind of Oats do I need to make this Overnight Rose Oats – Rose Strawberry Chia Oatmeal?

Old fashioned rolled oats are the best choice for this overnight oat’s recipe. The quick-cooking or instant kinds will turn to mush which is not at all tasty. Steel-cut oats tend to get chewy. I used strawberries in my recipe, but you can easily change the fruit and use whatever is in season: raspberries, blueberries or whatever else you like. Moreover, this meal prep friendly oatmeal takes less than 5-minutes to prepare.

Ingredients needed for this recipe –

Rolled oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, Rose syrup (I used Rooh Afza), Chia seeds, 1/4 cup strawberries, and 1/2 tbsp maple syrup. You will also need some raw pistachios and a few dried rose petals to top off.

How do I make this Overnight Rose Oats – Rose Strawberry Chia Oatmeal Recipe?

First in a mason jar, add the rolled oats, almond milk, Greek yogurt, Rooh Afza, Chia seeds, and maple syrup and then fold in the strawberries. Second, cover the container and allow the ingredients to sit in the refrigerator overnight for 5 to 8 hours before serving. Finally, finish the top with pistachios and dried rose petals.

What is Rooh Afza?

Rooh Afza is a concentrated squash made with rose, herbs, and flowers. Here is a link that explains the benefits and history of Rooh Afza.
