This Blueberry Avocado Spinach Smoothie is the perfect healthy breakfast or snack idea. Moreover, a fruit / spinach smoothie is a delicious way to power up your day. Furthermore, you can modify this recipe with soy milk, skim milk, or other non-dairy options.
As far as I’m concerned, smoothies are win-win in our household.
The recipe I’ve included for this Blueberry Avocado Spinach Smoothie is relatively easy and quick— why complicate things unnecessarily?
Ingredients needed to make Blueberry Avocado Spinach Smoothie
Banana: Firstly, I love to incorporate a ripe banana in a smoothie. Bananas add the sweetness to the smoothie and offset the nuttiness of the avocado. Secondly, if you want it sweeter you could add sugar.
Almond milk: My smoothie-go to. This is a plant-based smoothie (no dairy), but feel free to use any non-dairy, dairy or even low fat milk you like.
Avocado: Adds a great creamy texture to the smoothie. It needs to be ripe.
Blueberries: I’ve used frozen blueberries. Alternatively, you can use fresh blueberries.
Additionally, you will need baby spinach.
Also, having a powerful blender is best.
First, prep all of the smoothie ingredients: peel and cut the banana and avocado to mid-sized pieces.
Second, place all of the ingredients in a high-powered blender.
Finally, blend everything up until smooth. Also, if you’d like a thinner smoothie, add in a bit more almond milk.

Blueberry Avocado Spinach Smoothie
- 1 banana, ripe, medium (1 cup chopped)
- 1/2 avocado, ripe (peeled and pitted) (3/4 cup chopped)
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 and 1/2 cups blueberries, frozen (or fresh)
- 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
- Peel and cut the banana and avocado to mid-sized pieces.
- Place all of the ingredients in a high-powered blender.
- Finally, blend everything up until smooth. Also, if you’d like a thinner smoothie, add in a bit more almond milk.
